Quality Monitoring
Our philosophy at Community Interest Care CIC is to ensure the delivery of quality, person centred care to all our service users at all times. We are committed to supporting our service users within their own homes, towards leading as fulfilled a life as possible. We place values on individuals’ beliefs, choices, and aspirations which we believe will in turn maximise our service users desire to promote their own independence where possible.
Every effort is made to safeguard our service users to feel that their opinions, thoughts, feelings, and views are being respected and always considered. Each and every one of our service users will have a choice over their care and support and opportunities are made to ensure they feel at the fore front of their individual care packages.
We endeavour to provide a service which allows our service users to feel safe and protected from both abuse and neglect. We do this by enforcing all our staff have enhanced DBS checks.
By providing the care which we do, the following objectives are achieved:
Community Interest Care CIC will provide a service to both private service users and service users who are contracted by other parties such as local councils. For us, that will be Pembrokeshire County Council.
Community Interest Care CIC will create a care contract with each individual and or their advocate/social worker/health professional or family member. Within this contract, the fees will be outlined. These fees will be adjusted in line with the increasing or decreasing individual’s needs.
Support will only be provided by our company once a full assessment has taken place with the individual requiring support. Assessments will be undertaken by the registered manager and will involve the individual, interested parties and anyone else the individual feels need to be involved. If support is agreed, a care plan is written up by the manager from all the information gained during the assessment. This care plan is then agreed by all parties involved, including at the individuals request, they will be invited to any review meetings. These reviews focus wholly on the service users wishes, aspirations and what is in the persons best interest, reviewing the care package that is provided for the individual on a regular basis. Monthly meetings for individuals we support gives them the opportunity to voice their opinions on the service which they are receiving and on any other matters that are important to them.
Arrangements for managing planned, urgent and respite admissions are done on a needs led basis. This can be done through other service providers such as: Occupational Therapists, Social Workers, General Practitioners or District Nurses.
